 Upgraded From 2.8.5 To 2.8.8 Now No Stats/data For Openx Maket |

After upgrading to 2.8.8 from 2.8.5 and then doing all the hacks (installing all plugins) to get things running I noticed I don't have any openX Market data or settings. Campaigns that I used to have OpenX Market run for if it beat a certain CPM Floor price are no longer set. And I see no statistics for the openx market campain anymore. I had many impressions and had actually made some revenue. None of those numbers show anymore.

Ads still show, and the admin screen warns me "database still marked as 2.8.7". |

I don't have the fix for you, I reverted back seeings though it was working. I did notice that when re-installing/adding the openxmarket plugin again it creates a new openxmarket advertiser (did not match my old ones ID). The old one I believe still existed in the database / backed up files but was probably marked as deleted or something. What I don't get is why/where this advertiser is externally linked. I'm assuming some info gets passed back to some openx servers somewhere so us publishers can get paid. I didn't spend a ton of time researching that but didn't find anything. If so they should have the ability to tie the accounts together to retrieve/reactivate the correct openxmarket advertiser.
I wish this community was stronger as no answers are going to come from openx, they want our money to go to the hosted version. I spent days and days on this (and other openx issues). My suggestion is to try and learn about all the vulnerabilities in openx you can and tighten down your server and the software the best you can. I don't see them fixing any of this in the near or distant future. I found a real bug for video ad's delivery limitation (its unusable) and backed it up with concrete evidence and how to reproduce. That was months ago and has received no attention. I filed it here and in their bug tracker. |
