Because I am Japanese, sorry in clumsy English.

When I first try to log into http://adserver.openx.org,
the following message has been added by the browser.

"The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies."

But I have to accept cookies.

Would you like to tell me not login?

My browser is Japanese version of Firefox 3.5.7.
These were also the English version of Firefox 3.5.7.

I was not even the Japanese version of IE8.

Hi matsumotoryu.

I'm having the same problem.

When I visit http://adserver.openx.org/ the website redirects to https://login.openx.org/sso/login?service=h...er.openx.org%2F

I enter my login details and hit the login button. In Firefox v3.5.7 I get a warning page with "The page isn't redirecting properly". In Internet Explorer v8.0, it just hangs.

I checked my cookie settings in Firefox, and followed all of the instructions at http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Websit...ies+are+blocked but am still having trouble.

I use the 'Live HTTP Headers' plugin in Firefox, so I checked what is happening, and discovered that the following get/response pattern repeats endlessly:

CODE
https://adserver.openx.org/

GET / HTTP/1.1
Host: adserver.openx.org
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Accept: text/html,application/xhtml+xml,application/xml;q=0.9,*/*;q=0.8
Accept-Language: en-gb,en;q=0.5
Accept-Encoding: gzip,deflate
Accept-Charset: ISO-8859-1,utf-8;q=0.7,*;q=0.7
Keep-Alive: 300
Connection: keep-alive
Referer: https://login.openx.org/sso/login;jsessionid=4783EAAF92108C7D5668828C4C29C2F7.tomcat3?service=https%3A%2F%2Fadserver.openx.org%2F
Cookie: sessionID=633c7a87c74a44bab751a795d3e87252; PHPSESSID=n21bk6vhbonobpg4tfa352g3t7

HTTP/1.x 302 Found
Date: Sun, 07 Feb 2010 12:51:46 GMT
Server: Apache/2.2.10 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.10 OpenSSL/0.9.8b PHP/5.2.9
X-Powered-By: PHP/5.2.9
Location: https://adserver.openx.org/
Vary: Accept-Encoding
Content-Encoding: gzip
Content-Length: 20
Keep-Alive: timeout=5, max=95
Connection: Keep-Alive
Content-Type: text/html

I discovered that if I strip the parameters from the login page URL (https://login.openx.org/sso/login), I can authenticate, but the only functionality available is 'account overview', 'change email', and 'change password'.

If I enter an incorrect password on the login page, I am presented with red text stating that the password is incorrect - this seems to be working as it should.

I have sent an email requesting help to hosted-support@ including most of these details. If I get a response that fixes my problem, I'll post here.

Hi all. Mattrobow has the right solution to email hosted-support (at) openx(dot)org as this happens when the Community Hosted account is created without a default manager. This happens from time to time during the approval process and the only way to fix it is to add your email address as the default manager by an OpenX employee. We are aware of the issue, but in the mean time emailing us with your sign up information and the issue you are happening is the best way to get this resolved.

Best,
The OpenX Team

The problem with hosted-support is that of the time of this writing on Feb 13th it has not responded to my ticket #16247 filed on Feb 1st.

I am sending yet another message to hosted-support and I'll follow up here if I do not receive an answer again.

Thanks

The OpenX support is dead. They are not responding to messages.

I've sent a private e-mail to Alicia a while ago. She responded here with a suggestion to write to hosted-support who is not there. "We acknowledge a technical problem, write to support who will be happy to ignore it".

It's a free offer. I guess we get what we pay for. On the other hand it's misleading to advertise a service which OpenX has no intention of providing. It would have been a lot more honest to say "we are not accepting new applications" instead of wasting everyone's time.

Yupe I got the same problem and I guess our only option right now is to install it on our own server.
