We upgraded to OpenX a couple of months ago from phpAdsNew and now SWF banner ads do NOT work on our site. The SWF ad is loaded and it's in the code, but the field is blank.

Here's the code:

Do SWF files simply not work with OpenX!?!

Hi AlStod,

Flash files are fully supported by OpenX.
The question is how did you set up your flash file in the OpenX inventory?

Could you provide us with the invocation tag and the flash file for further tests?

To proceed with your post, would you please provide us with the following information:
 1. Version (build) of OpenX software.
 2. Operating System of the OpenX server
 3. Database server
 4. Web server
 5. PHP version

Most of this information can be found by going to Settings->Product Updates.

The information above is needed to help us find a solution for your problem.

Hi Michal,

I'm not quite sure what the invocation tag is, but here's the answer to those other questions.

We have:
OpenX v2.6.4
Apache 2.2.8
PHP 5.2.6
MySQL 5.0.45

Thanks,

Alex

Hi,

Do you still experience the problem? I can see that flash files are being displayed on your website now.

The animated GIF ads are working, but not the SWF. I just uploaded the SWF file again and it's still not working.

I got the same problem, but it's a funny thing, I can't see the SWF banners on Firefox, Chrome or Safari on IE they works perfect, I am desperate because I have tried to fix it and I can't. Please help.

Dear all,
I faced the same problem and resolved easily: Reinstall flash player plugin (newest version from www.adobe.com) for web browsers. Flash work well after that !
