Hello

Help us improve our content management system plugins but telling us what's important for you...

Q1: How will tighter integration between the OpenX ad server and your content management system help you?

Q2: Is there a key feature which would save you time, help you deliver more relevant ads and, ultimately, help you make more money?

Thanks in advance,
Oliver George

Ultimately it will help me to monetize my blogging business with as little pain as possible.

I recently installed the openx widget for WordPress and found that it was very very easy to get ads up and running with the widget. I really appreciate the plugin after having done it a little bit more manually before.

For wordpress in specific I'm running a multi blog site with about 20 blogs and will be expanding as time goes on. My one request would be that there is someway to enable the widget by default on all blogs with the specified zone settings. Or perhaps it would be something of a master control switch that would allow me to turn on and turn off ads for specific blogs, or even change their zone ID's.

To dream a bit more, what if I could target certain ads to certain blogs? Like geotargeting but for blogid's. Actually this would be something like subdomain targeting since every blog comes in the form of blogname.scroggles.com .

Our current setup uses Joomla w/ OpenX and the Joomla+OpenX module and a tighter integration for us would be to have the ability to pass user information on views and clicks on the ad banners. Right now we would like to be able to pass user information when a banner ad is clicked.

Hi,

Thanks for working on this Joomla module. I'm using Joomla 1.5.10.

It would be helpful if the module would allow the administrator to assign a module class suffix in the module parameters. I am finding that the default module style for my template is being applied, which surrounds the ad with the module border.

I'd rather create a custom CSS style without any border for my ads, and apply it with a module class suffix parameter.

Best,
bbtouring

I'd say let's keep it simple and get the module working consistently.. since upgrading to 2.8 our modules no longer display ads (although the same ads run in standalone pages and other module for Joomla that allow php/js/etc)..

include the option to add a module class suffix as most Joomla modules do,..
potentially the option to choose a 'default' for the case when no ad is displayed by the zone - a fallback ad or alt zone

How about an option to 'align' an image ad - so when you have a 728px wide ad on a 900px+ wide page.. you can select 'left', 'right', or 'center' which would insert a div with those 'parameters' around the ad code... making it easy to align multiple ads to the page layout..
