Recently installed OpenX 2.6 and I am the only user under this install.
I am running campaigns and that seems to be working ok. However, on the top right hand corner of my control panel under the search box it says "Working as Default manager" I have read in these forums that there is supposed to be an Administrator's account as well that provides many more options. Unfortunately when I click on 'Default manager' or the little arrow to the right it does nothing, it's not clickable... it's like the option to switch account type is disabled. I have tried Firefox and IE. Could someone please help me figure out what is going on? I am a newbie and apologize in advance in case my question is too basic. I am hosted on mediatemple.com. Thanks |

Hi oxgeneral,
This is very strange problem. Noone has ever reported it. I think this is a browser issue or OpenX files problem. Did you try to test it on any other computer? Maybe you have Javascript problems. Please use FF debug console to check if there are any JS problems. You could also try to re-upload OpenX files ot reinstall whole software. Please use our demo OpenX installation on our website to eliminate browser problem. You should be able to expand top right accounts list there. |

I have repro'd on three different machines using IE, Firefox and Opera. I have tried to even reinstall and still have the issue. I don't get any errors in FF or Opera. However in IE I get an error stating "Object Expected" on line 33. Line 33 is the Body tag CODE <body class="hasInterface hasSidebar" onload="initPage();"> Apache/2.2.10 (Unix) Any thoughts? Dale |

We are having the same issue.
We've never been able to use Firefox because the CSS won't load. I have been, up until now, been able to use IE. However, when I logged in tonight, it has me as the Default Manager only, and I can not get to the admin feature, which means that I can't add or edit banners. The error I get is as follows: Line: 32 Char: 1 Error: Object Expected Code: 0 URL: http://www.mysite.com/www/admin/dashboard.php Line: 115 Char 11 Error: Object Expected Code: 0 Line: 2 Char: 1 Error: Syntax Error Code: 0 Can anyone help so that I can figure out how to get in and add more banners? |

Not sure if this is the answer to your issue, but thought I'd post it just in case. At the top right corner of any openx adserver page, under the search field, you should see the link "Working as" followed by your current login level. You mention that you're logged in under the default manager, and therefore, cannot add or edit banners. I'm new, so I'm not sure what all the capabilities are, but when I login under my admin user ID and pass, openx defaults to manager, which I assume is what it's supposed to do, and its under this default manager account that I can, by clicking inventory, add advertisers and thus campaigns, banners, etc.
When I click on the "working as" link (mentioned above), a dialog box pops up that allows the admin to toggle between administrator (which gives you access to the configuration and plugins tab and allows you to add/delete accounts under inventory) and manager (which allows you to add advertisers under inventory, etc.). Hence, as far as the Inventory Tab toes, if you're wanting to add advertisers with campaigns and banners, "manager" is where you want to be. Admin is for adding accounts. |
