 Telling Advertisers What Do Do To Advertise On My Site |

Hi,
I'm currently trying to replace the devil-posessed Adjug with Open X market, and seem to have added a banner campaign without trouble. It seems a really really good system (thank you)... but... What I need to is have in my media pack is a how-to: "To advertise here, go to Open X market, register, (screenshot) click here, search by my sitename, upload and away you go". I also need to be able to discuss this with someone over the phone. Making it as easy as possible for them to hand over their money basically. Unless I've missed something, all I can do is send them to the partner form, and I don't have a clue what happens after that. Also the FAQ on here are very very publisher-oriented. Can anyone post some screenshots and info on the basic advertising process so that I have an idea what to say to advertisers, can answer questions etc? I apologise in advance if I have missed all this info or am being stupid. I have seen related questions in this forum, but no real answer. Thanks! |

Thanks for such a quick reply Stephan, but I may not have explained myself well. It's not a 'feature' that I want, but just a description of what happens to an advertiser after they fill in your form. These are the key ones:
How long until they hear from you? How long until the ad goes live? How do they pay you? Invoice & BACS? Paypal? Credit card? How do they target my site in particular? I surely can't be alone in wanting to know this sort of stuff? Thanks! |

The market is still in beta, so we are not taking referrals for advertisers yet. Later this year we will have something for you to direct advertisers to which will enable them to buy directly from your site.

Thanks very much for the reply. I am in no position to complain - I've been a reader not a contributor on here and (hangs head in shame) to be honest have basically contributed zero, however.... it may be worth making this more clear. I had false expectations of the system, now I just have expectations - much better! I look forward to seeing it and 'keep up the good work'.

This is particularly true of small and medium sites that rely on local advertising from small and medium for their revenues. These clients need a compelling (read: easy) method for buying advertising on sites on the network; if the system is not more customizable and easier to use than say google adwords, they will never begin placing their inventory on openxmarket. |
