We have openx hosted and we have a HUGE problem, to the point that our users are threatening to NEVER to come back to our site.
Through openx we are getting malware redirection ads. When one of these ads is shown, the user is redirected to a website automatically. This is a serious problem, enough serious that we are going to have to turn OFF openx market integration, if this is not resolved ASAP. Here are some examples of redirections taking place: http://www.finditquick.com/searchresults/w...20credit%20card http://www.asklots.com/jump2/?affiliate=lo...mp;terms=health Also this advertiser has some malware which hijacks the user and forwards to their site: http://nterzone.com/images/banner2.gif http://bstsearch.com/www/delivery/ck.php?o...://nterzone.com There is no option to review and block out BAD ads in openx hosted, and I see mentioning in this thread that his has been available for the downloadable version under "Ad Quality Tool" This problem must be remedied ASAP guys, otherwise, we have to stop serving our millions of impressions through Openx.org |

Hi xproxy,
Thank you for the report. The Ad Quality Tool which should enable you to block certain ads will be available on OpenX Hosted within 2 weeks from now. Please stay tuned as you will be able to solve your problems soon. |

All right, until this feature is available to give us control to find and block malware/redirection we will have to keep OpexMarket disabled.

All right, until this feature is available to give us control to find and block malware/redirection we will have to keep OpexMarket disabled. I specifically moved to hosting my own server so that I would have the fabulous Ad Quality Tool. It's pretty worthless. It becomes next to impossible to identify and disable an auto-forwarding ad, because it forwards from the Ad Quality Tool, so you can't stop it and disable it. In addition, the tool shows 10 ads per page load, so if one of them is doing malicious things, its pretty difficult to identify it. I still think this is a cop out, putting the responsibility of policing Ad Quality on the publisher. OpenX should be handling that portion of this "service". We are also getting a ton of blank ads, and they appear blank on the Ad Quality Tool. Overall, I am again unimpressed with the OpenX Market. Great idea, and often times it gives us good ads for a decent price. However the problems we have with it continue to make it impossible to work with. |

So there is no real feedback from the company on this situation?
I'm here in ad-tech NY, open X promoting their product all over the place, ping pong tables and all. Your attention to this forum and concerns of the existing users is more important than getting new publishers to join you! |
