I updated to the current version of OpenX because i was having trouble getting phpadsnew to delivered contracted amounts of advertising for country targeted campaigns.
This time I the campaigns to that they have better priority than global ones. Now the problem is that I have a campaign that is getting very uneven delivery of adviews throughout the day and day to day. The campaign needs to deliver 10,000 adviews per month to a country that has a capacity of 100,000 (which is about a 20% of the site's capacity of 500,000). There is another campaign of similar size, so there should be plenty of room. The campaign in question was lagging some 5,000 adviews behind and has about 4 months to ago (out of 6 contracted). I updated to OpenX on the 8th of this month. Here's the daily distribution: 19-10-2009 1,041 18-10-2009 16 17-10-2009 15 16-10-2009 86 15-10-2009 1,551 14-10-2009 666 13-10-2009 1,179 12-10-2009 2,787 11-10-2009 1,025 10-10-2009 321 09-10-2009 550 08-10-2009 336 As you can see, it's all over the place. Here's the hourly distribution for th 19th: 00:00 - 00:59 2 01:00 - 01:59 1 02:00 - 02:59 3 03:00 - 03:59 4 04:00 - 04:59 3 05:00 - 05:59 14 06:00 - 06:59 9 07:00 - 07:59 36 08:00 - 08:59 88 09:00 - 09:59 197 10:00 - 10:59 188 11:00 - 11:59 194 12:00 - 12:59 187 13:00 - 13:59 115 14:00 - 14:59 - 15:00 - 15:59 - 16:00 - 16:59 - 17:00 - 17:59 - 18:00 - 18:59 - 19:00 - 19:59 - 20:00 - 20:59 - 21:00 - 21:59 - 22:00 - 22:59 - 23:00 - 23:59 - Or here's another day: 00:00 - 00:59 4 01:00 - 01:59 32 02:00 - 02:59 22 03:00 - 03:59 4 04:00 - 04:59 3 05:00 - 05:59 7 06:00 - 06:59 39 07:00 - 07:59 45 08:00 - 08:59 - 09:00 - 09:59 - 10:00 - 10:59 - 11:00 - 11:59 - 12:00 - 12:59 - 13:00 - 13:59 - 14:00 - 14:59 28 15:00 - 15:59 126 16:00 - 16:59 - 17:00 - 17:59 - 18:00 - 18:59 - 19:00 - 19:59 - 20:00 - 20:59 - 21:00 - 21:59 - 22:00 - 22:59 - 23:00 - 23:59 - What's up with that? How can i get a more even distribution? I can picture very unhappy customers. Non-country targeted have a more even hourly delivery, but they still have a daily distribution that oscillated too much for me |
