Hi Guys,

I am new to OpenX just came across it yesterday.

I have downloaded, installed, added advertisers (2 of them) set a website and also set a zone for the banners. I want to run multiple randomly generated banners in one zone (top banner 468x60).

I don't see any documentation anywhere for adding multiple banners in one zone.

I would have thought this would have been one of the most important aspects of a banner management system to have in place yet I cannot find anything to show me how to do this.

If I am having to put duplicate invocation scripts in order to run 10 banners the page weight is going to be massive. Surely you should be able to create multiple advertisers, with individual campaigns and just link there banners & campaigns to a specific zone IE Top Banner.

Am I missing something?????

Can somebody please point me in the right direction.

Cheers

Dan

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the OpenX community forums!

Of course you can link multiple banners or campaigns to the same zone.

Please refer to the following tutorial for more information: http://www.openx.org/docs/tutorials/video/...rted+with+openx

Cheers Michal,

About 5 minutes after I posted I figured out how to do it.

The only problem I am having now is as I was just testing it on another server, I have uploaded to the web server where I will be running the banner management, and I cannot change the www/images folder to 777. Even though on my server and ftp it says it has changed to 777 the install script says it still is not writeable.

I am just uploading it again and going to change the file permissions directly in cpanel file manager to see if that works, if it doesnt I don't know what the hell to do!!!

Have you come across this issue before??

Any help would be good

Dan
