Received following error when upgrading to 2.8.5 in install.log referenced in finish action
CODE #! openXBannerTypes(): Upgrade package openXBannerTypes" has a version stamp that is older than that of the package you have installed attempting to include file /home/divwire/public_html/ad/openx/etc/changes/tasks/openads_upgrade_task_Recompile_Acls.php Recompiling Acls OK Starting Acls Recompilation Acls Recompilation: Complete Plugin Manager says I have version 1.4.1 of openXBannerTypes, clicking the upgrade button results in this info: Latest version of openXBannerTypes is 1.0.1 Compatible with OpenX version 2.7.30-beta-rc11 to version Currently installed OpenX version 2.8.5 You have a newer plugin version installed than the one available for upgrade. " How can I have a version so much greater than what is shipping? OK? Security: I had a security issue with openX, my fault for not upgrading I suppose. I found this is my 2.8.0 installation after IE8's screenfilter started blocking my site today CODE var/plugins/cache/mergedDeliveryFunctions.php:$urlw = "http://ads.fake-isp.com/stats?counter=138"; Which is a reported attack site.Anyways, any good articles/posts on securing openX besides using SSL and locking down config (which I had done). My openX install is on a subdomain. Thx |

I had the same upgrade error... this looks related to the problems we are having...

It looks like your OpenX was being hacked before the upgrade and the OpenX upgrader didn't unfortunately want to overwrite your "custom" plugin.
My suggestion would be to go to the "Plugins" tab as administrator, pick the official plugin zip file (from the etc/plugins folder in the downloaded package) and click on "Import (code only)". After that disabling and re-enabling the plugin might help getting rid of the rubbish in the mergedDeliveryFunctions.php file. |

If I've not installed any plugins, should there be any in there?

The standard plugins are automatically installed while your OpenX installation.
