Hi,

I'm hoping to be able to pass in additional query string parameters to the openx banner's url from the publisher's site, appended to the end of the banner's url.

For example:

On Openx, I have a banner that is directed to say, http://www.mysite.com

On the publisher's site, I want to gather some further tracking information so that when the user clicks on the banner, the end url will be http://www.mysite.com?param=1&param=2 so mysite.com can store these 2 parameters into my database for tracking purposes.

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,
oahzta

Yes, of course! smile.gif

  1. Setup the banner's destination url as http://www.mysite.com?param1={param1}&param2={param2}
  2. Pass param1=value1&param2=value2 in your ad invocation code.

Hi oahzta and rithish,

Thanks guys for this thread.

I have got one question about data storing. Is it possible to see and download the information that has been passed from the OpenX itself?

The reason is I change publishers quite frequently and not all of them can cooperate.

Thanks in advance!

M
