I have a client that is a college sports website. They plan on covering nearly 200 colleges across the country. Each college having its own landing/home page.
Each college page has 3 ad spots on it. A leaderboard at the top, a 300x250 in upper right sidebar and another 300x250 in the lower right sidebar. Not including other zones that need to be made (for home page, etc.) that puts me at 600 zones. Is this the best way to set up their OpenX account? I just cringe at the thought of an advertiser asking to be in one of those ad spots across the entire site. I'd love to hear how you would set up this account. |

Here is what I would do, create just 3 slots. When an advertiser wants to advertise on a set site, you can add a filter for that advert so that it will only show when an advert is requested from a set domain and not other domains. I think that would be the shortest way to do it. You may also be able to pull in stats based on the domain used. However, I think openx asks for zones on a per domain basis, but you can use one zone on as many domans as you like. Can anyone confirm this? |
