Hi,
I am really new to OpenX and have been browsing through the forums and haven't found what I'm looking for, I don't think. Basically I am creating websites for a large corporation with stores all over the UK. As such. I want to offer each local business the opportunity to sell 7-8 links (text based) on their website to other local businesses/their customers. I want it to be as automated as possible. So ideally I would like it to be bid based. A customer clicks the 'advertise here' link. Enters a price they want to display their URL for for a month. Enter a few details like the URL and pay. Their link will then display. Obviously due to spam links, I think that they should be able to moderate the ad before it goes live. Now, I'm not sure how to set this up. I've read that creating users on a master OpenX account is quite difficult. So would it be easier to give each website it's own version of OpenX? I have a reseller account as I am hosting all of the websites, and as such all websites are at the same IP address, don't know if this is relevant. What would be the best way of giving each website the ability to sell 7-8 links for 30 days at a time, with the ability to email the advertiser to tell them their 30 day is running out and if they want to renew it then they need to click a link and pay for another 30 days. I would like the website owner to be able to set a minimum price limit so they're not offering links for 2pence for 2 pence a month or anything like this. If OpenX isn't the best software for what I'm attempting, could anyone recommend me some open source software that would be? The number of websites is currently 10, however this is due to grow when I begin advertising. Thanks. |
