QUOTE (Skywoolf @ Nov 13 2007, 08:19 PM) *
I don't know if I can help much because I am not an expert with PHP or Javascript but I have managed to get PAN (latest version and mant previous versions ) working with my biggest site http://www.carsalesasia.com which uses vPortal, vBulletin, Photopost and Photopost Classifieds.

It is easy to include the ads in vPortal blocks anywhere on the pages. I did this before there was a vBulletin plugin because I wanted to use PAN for all adds. My biggest challenge was to get sets of five mini-banners for each main section of the site which I eventually achieved. When I get around to it I will extend this to two sets of mini-banners for each section. One for English and one for Chinese.

I added some templates and changed others to include the unchanged PAN code.

If anyone is trying to do something similar I may be able to help a bit.

If there is a way to show different ads for different vBulletin forums sections I would love to know about it.

Take a look at vbAdManagement. According to the manual: "Unlimited customisation! The greatest strength of this modification is that there is no limit to what you can do with it. You do not even have to use it for advertisements, you can use it to manage the display of any content you want. Let's say you wanted to display a random set of 5 advertisements to just 2 specific users in 8 different forums with 3 different parts of each individual advertisement shared with the users in 3 different ways for two weeks of the year, provided the users had a post count of over 500, were in usergroup 10 and were not using Internet Explorer. You can do that, plus much more, in any combination!."

There might be something in there for you. The mod is here.

Hi,

I am running a forum using vB 3.6.8. I was trying to integrate OpenX 2.6 to serve ads in my forum.

I have got OpenX installed successfully. I was trying to serve the 1st ad following this guide. But I am stuck in the last step of generating invocation code.

I am not able to see the invocation code types or generate invocation code for the banner to be put in a HTM page.

Please could anyone help.

This clock projects the time, date, or temp on the wall or ceiling http://www.liangdianup.com/clocks_1.htm some people call
it a ceiling clock but I call it a digital projection clock. I got the black one because at the time that was the only color
they had. But now they have them in black and also in white.

Having looked at this it would appear that your .php version is global, but also assumes your running them on the same server. Hence java allows you to send ads remotely.

Hi guys, I'm just finishing up integrating OpenX with my vBulletin forum. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post my forum, so I won't.

What is happening is everything is all good and going, I'm using Ultimate Side Columns, but I have 1 problem. I have my ads on the left side of the page, and it is supposed to have 2 ads per space. I have 2 banners set up to Zone 1, and under the same campaign. When I refresh the page, the ads don't rotate. Even if I refresh a million times.

Is this something to do with maintanence.php?

Where do I put the code for a scheduled maintenance.php refresh or whatever?

Seems to be working Great with the newest vBulletin 4.0.1 and vbSEO.
I haven't added but one ad in the footer so far, but its working great, and no errors with IE8 which is what I was worried about.

Thanks,

There's nothing special required for vbulletin integration if you want to simply edit the templates and insert the zone codes.

This thread simply showcases a way to make integration easier by use of a variable.
